Dahlia's Hope exists to provide multi-faceted, trauma-informed aftercare services to survivors of sex trafficking by licensed and experienced therapists. Our commitment is to meet each survivor where they are in their stage of recovery and help them build and maintain a successful and independent life with hope for the future.

The founding of Dahlia's Hope was inspired by the story of a now local survivor named Faith. Faith met her trafficker in her native country when she was 13 years old. Within a few weeks she was brought into the US and immediately began her life as a victim of daily sex trafficking.

When she escaped just before her 18th birthday, she began searching for resources; medical attention for injuries sustained in trafficking, therapy to help her with her PTSD, anxiety and other complex traumas, education and work to be independent and self-reliant. She searched and searched and found very few resources. Her vision was to have a place where survivors could get all of the aftercare services needed in one spot. That is how Dahlia's Hope was born.

Why the Dahlia?

Not only is the dahlia the national flower of Faith's native country of Mexico, it also stands as a paragon of resilience in the world of flowers, weathering storm and adversity with unwavering strength. Their ability to bounce back from challenges, whether it be harsh weather conditions, pests, or disease, is unmatched. They are able to adapt in various climates, soil types and other harsh conditions. Despite the odds, dahlias persist in their quest to bloom, showcasing their vibrant colors as a testament to their indomitable spirit. In gardens and floral displays, dahlias serve as beacons of hope and perseverance, reminding us of the beauty that can emerge from resilience.
